Social Media Intern (Creative Focus)

This role will be responsible for assisting with the creative aspects of social media. Ideal candidates will be expected to contribute ideas, problem solve and communicate effectively. Interns will also be expected to undertake blog post assignments and contribute to meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative

  • Excellent writing skills (i.e. communicates plans via email, writes social media content, writes blog copy, etc.)

  • Personal and engaging with clients, as necessary

  • Working knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.), including Facebook Business/Ads Manager.

  • Highly organized

  • Delivers work on or before deadline.

  • A desire for continued learning and professional development.

  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies or related preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on industry trends brands to execute the most fitting creative strategy

  • Create mood boards to support partner strategy

  • Organize, plan, and prep products and props for shoots

  • Plan and organize monthly editorial calendars for client accounts

  • Use Sprout Social and other social platforms to draft, write and edit content to ensure consistent brand voice

  • Utilize Canva to create engaging Instagram Stories for clients that maintain the client’s voice

  • Daily monitoring and engagement with client accounts for mentions, hashtags and social interactions from influencers and consumers

  • Gather and republish user-generated content on an ongoing basis to supplement planned content

  • Write content for social media posts, blog posts and email newsletters that maintain the client’s voice.

  • Assist on video and photography shoots

  • Attend client events to capture content for social media

Social Media Intern (Data Focus)

This role will be responsible for all aspects of performance benchmarks: Reporting, creating, and managing social media and email marketing, as well as managing the tools to ensure partner results are measurable and tracked. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented and driven by data, constantly maintaining a current knowledge of industry-specific technologies, and are proficient in digital and publishing software. They enjoy problem-solving techniques and are creative in the sense that you will go to great lengths to see digital success. Interns will also be expected to undertake blog post assignments and contribute to meetings.
